The Pacific Gas & Electric Company, services nearly 5 million customers in the Northern California area, becoming one of the most profitable companies on the Fortune 500 list. Their growth, however, came at the expense of workers, who were exposed to asbestos, and therefore the cancer mesothelioma, at power plants owned by the company.

Mesothelioma Plaintiff Wins $20 Million from Georgia Pacific

Joan Mahoney, a 69 year old mesothelioma victim sued Georgia Pacific Corp. after she contracted mesothelioma from using Georgia Pacific’s asbestos-containing joint compound. The jury awarded Ms. Mahoney $20 Million in damages.
